Useful decision guidance, written to support the product—not pad the site.

PickTogether publishes guides about ordinary group decisions because good poll wording matters. This page explains how those guides are scoped, written, reviewed, translated, linked to product behavior, and kept separate from advertising or user-generated poll content.

Original, purpose-built content

Guides are written specifically around real PickTogether use cases: narrowing restaurant choices, choosing a movie, finding a meeting time, planning a weekend, comparing trip options, making a family choice, running a classroom preference poll, helping a small team choose between acceptable options, planning a party, or selecting a group gift. They are not scraped article summaries, rewritten third-party posts, or automatically generated location pages.

Each guide must stand on its own

A guide should answer a specific decision problem even if the reader never creates a poll. It should explain how to define acceptable options, avoid common sources of disagreement, write a neutral question, decide what happens after voting, and interpret the result. Examples and checklists are included to make the advice usable rather than merely descriptive.

No fake expertise

PickTogether's editorial content stays inside the product's real competence: everyday preference decisions and the mechanics of using the service. Guides do not present themselves as medical, legal, financial, psychological, safeguarding, election-security, or other professional advice. High-stakes topics are redirected to the Safety page and to purpose-built professional processes.

Product claims must match current behavior

When a guide or help page describes voting, result visibility, changing a vote, deadlines, creator controls, anonymous browser identifiers, noindex behavior, or owner-key handling, that description should match the current application. Product behavior is covered by automated regression tests so editorial promises do not silently drift away from implementation.

English-first, real Arabic—not placeholder translation

English is the default language of the public site. The Arabic version is written as a complete usable version of the same guidance and follows the site's RTL behavior. Translation should preserve the meaning and safety boundary of the English source instead of shortening important qualifications or replacing them with generic filler.

Internal links should help, not manipulate

Guides link to related guides, product instructions, safety information, privacy details, or the decision creator when those links are useful to the next step. Internal links are not added merely to inflate page views. A reader should be able to understand why a linked page is relevant before following it.

Advertising and commercial influence

At the time of this review, PickTogether's public guides do not contain paid placements or affiliate links, and real user-created poll pages are intentionally outside the initial advertising surface. If commercial relationships are introduced later, they should be disclosed clearly and must not change the factual description of the product or turn editorial recommendations into undisclosed advertising.

User-generated polls are not editorial pages

Questions and choices on real poll URLs are written by users, not by PickTogether's editorial layer. Those pages are marked noindex and nofollow and are not included in the public sitemap. The Safety & Content Guidelines tell creators what is acceptable, while the editorial guides remain publisher-controlled content with a different purpose and review standard.

Corrections and meaningful updates

A guide should be updated when the product behavior it describes changes, when a safety boundary becomes clearer, or when the guidance is found to be inaccurate or confusing. Changes should improve usefulness rather than refresh a timestamp without changing the substance. Pages may show a review date where timing is relevant.
